Modern Insulation

Energy Savings

Almost 67% of all heat loss occurs in the ceilings and walls of a building. Properly insulating these areas of the building can dramatically reduce energy bills.

It is a known fact that Cellulose insulation performs better than fiberglass when you need it most. As temperatures become more extreme, the R-value of Cellulose insulation actually improves while the fiberglass insulation R-value drops.

Cellulose vs. Fiberglass performance

By using loose-fill Cellulose insulation, all of those hard to insulate areas such as pipes and electrical boxes can be easily insulated providing a tight fit and increasing the efficiency of the attic or wall insulation.

HVAC

The use of Cellulose insulation provides the opportunity to “right-size” the HVAC system.  The tight seal around wiring and electrical boxes, the excellent thermal resistance and its performance in extreme weather conditions means that the HVAC can be sized correctly without worrying about leakages or decreasing R-values.

Energy Star

Energy Star PartnerModern’s Cellulose insulations are Energy Star Products. Energy Star products help you save money and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by meeting strict energy efficiency guidelines set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy.

Most people are familiar with the Energy Star label on kitchen appliances and other electrical devices. However people often overlook that the single biggest energy-saving opportunity in a house is having the correct insulation installed.

At Modern Insulation, we encourage all homeowners to look for the Energy Star logo on all products they purchase.
